Ranking talismans based on how useful they are IRL (2024)

Emerald Ring - $60 per hour, $1440 per day

I could finally pay off student loans! Then again, getting $1,440 a day from thing air might be hard to explain in taxes...

Fire Talisman - full immunity to fire is op

Ender-Dragon said:

Lava Talisman - fire talisman but weaker

Question: What is the difference between Fire and Lava? According to its defenition, fire is things burning by combining with Oxygen to usually emit smoke, light, and heat (The Sun might be an example). Lava is molten rock which is either solid or solid-liquid (usually from Volcanos). In other words, Fire Talisman could let you become the first human to land on the "surface" of the Sun, whereas Lava Talisman only protects you from a very specific material some people might not ever see.

One might be able to argue that some "molten" rocks coming from a volcano wouldn't be able to hamr you at all if someone threw them at you. Lava, unlike magma, is the rocks and stuff once it's outside a volcano.

Feather Artifact - 1 block is 1 cubic meter, so you can fall 10 meters without a scratch... this is op

This makes it okay to jump off of a window, in the case of a fire or someone/something dangerous blocking the door out. Jumping out of something like a skyscraper's 20th floor window might not be a good idea though.

Ender-Dragon said:

Talisman of Coins - emerald ring but weaker

In this one, the summoned coins randomly appear around you instead of being added to your currency containers directly. This could lead to accidental property damage; being near a window in a skyscraper has a chance of spawning a coin outside, which can (and probably will) cause damage to things hit by it after such a long fall.

Ender-Dragon said:

Crab Hats of Celebration - you are a little luckier ig

Don't forget about when wearing it! You occasionally summon a miniature explosive (firework) out of it, and for every year old you are you become smarter! (tbf the firework might be a bad thing to suddenly release from your head)

Ender-Dragon said:

Blaze Talisman - lf blazes iel, so you have slightly more true defense ig

Blazes irl are very large or "fiercely-burning" fires.

Ender-Dragon said:

Night Crystal - why would you need this during the night

Night shifts

Ender-Dragon said:

Beastmaster Crest - lf mythological creatures irl, but at least it gives some stats

If someone is following Minos on Twitter (that's probably a taken twitter name), you can gain stats by murdering them... or, if you're unacceptable and should be banned from society, Siamese Lynx is a type of cat irl

Ender-Dragon said:

Archaeologist's Compass - ok if you are an archaeologist ig

It always points towards the nearest unclaimed relic; walls and such don't stop its guidance

Ender-Dragon said:

Gravity Talisman - why would you need this

What even IS the "spawn"?

Ender-Dragon said:

Personal Compactor - lf enchanted items irl

Minecraft's crafting system when automated is actually kind of OP irl. You can instantly turn Wheat into Hay Bales, four Snowballs into a perfect cube (kind of like Patrick in that one Spongebob episode), Melon Slices into a solid, unbroken Melon Block, or make gemstones into a solid block!

Ender-Dragon said:

Personal Deletor - why would you need this

Delete materials from existence, violate the Law of Conservation of Mass
...This is actually REALLY OP.

Think about it: you put Plastic in a Personal Deletor, pick up a bunch of plastic stuff, then *POOF* it's gone from existence! You've created an eco-friendly way to disolve Plastic!

Or, if you're much more evil, you could try putting a corpse in there. People that cross this kind of person with a Personal Deletor have a tendency to... disappear.

Ender-Dragon said:

Artifact of Power - gemstones dont give stats irl

If you consider the stats they give in-game converted to irl, you can get up to:

  • 9% more health
  • +9 more defense
  • +5.5 more strength
  • 10% more intelligence
  • +30 mining speed (a metric which means you'll be much more efficient)
  • 15% better mining yields
  • 1% chance to extract gemstones in better quality

(plus more if you consider the Coming Soon: Relic of Power)

Ender-Dragon said:

Nether Artifact - lf nether irl

heck
That is Nether irl

Ender-Dragon said:

Trapper Crest - lf pelts irl

Pelts are a real thing, although idk why someone would collect them intentionally

Ender-Dragon said:

Dante Talisman - you dont need this unless you are a robber or smth

It gives 0 stats, and it seems to specify only "goons" allowing you entrance... to public buildings.

Ender-Dragon said:

Golden Jerry Artifact - you become less smart...

Just like real Jerry fans

Ender-Dragon said:

Zombie Artifact - lf zombies irl

"They are; there's this certain type of fungus that turns (I think it's ants) into zombies"
Now if you ever find yourself encountering Zombie ants that, for some reason, are hostile, you take less damage.

(This is niche and basically useless either way)

Ender-Dragon said:

Red Claw Artifact - lf crits irl

Ender-Dragon said:

Tiny Dancer - lf crits irl

Critical Hits in video games typically represent hitting a vital organ irl

Ender-Dragon said:

Hunter Ring - lf combat wisdom irl

How quickly one gains experience in combat

Ender-Dragon said:

Auto Recomb - lf recombs irl

In specific, "rarity" irl

Ender-Dragon said:

Artifact of Control - having 2 votes instead of 1 does nothing in a real election

It might. If people know your votes are counting double, they'd be highly suspicious of you.

Ender-Dragon said:

Pandora's Box - lf some of the challenges irl

In specific:

  • lf Crystal Hollows irl
  • lf Jacob's Farming Contests irl
  • lf Test of Mastery irl
  • (hi Ender Dragon)
  • lf Dwarven Mines irl
  • 5,555 Intelligence
  • dungeon crypts irl being blown up is not a good thing
  • (do "trophy fish" exist irl? Maybe not lava fishing ones, but the irl term for "Trophy Fish"?)
  • lf large mining fortune + pristine proc irl
  • Voidgloom Seraph is not an irl thing
  • A*hf*ng is not an irl thing
  • Lord Jawbus is not an irl thing (hopefully)
  • Atoned Horror is not an irl thing
  • The Catacombs: Floor VII is not an irl thing + lf teleportation abilities irl
  • Master Mode Catacombs: Floor VII is not an irl thing (x5)
  • Defining "exactly 333,333 damage" is tricky.

Overall, you could get one (or two, sorry Ender Dragon) challenges done. Uncommon ones are locked behind completing 3 common ones, which involve things which don't exist irl. Attempting both goals will be either virtually impossible or result in emprisonment/execution.

Ender-Dragon said:

Bat Person Artifact - lf summoning bats irl

In specific: lf Spirit Sceptre, Witch Mask, and/or Bat Pet irl

Ender-Dragon said:

Bluetooth Ring - this literally gives negative stats

(speed/intelligence)
It also gives +1 Damage always, unless you go to a deserted island with <5 other people there

Ender-Dragon said:

Future Calories Talisman - lf fishing wisdom irl

How quickly one gains experience in fishing

Ender-Dragon said:

lmk if i missed any

  • Bingo Relic (no stats)
  • Book of Progression (tbf level 0 means you can't get it anyway)
  • General's Medallion (lf dungeon secret count)
